"Inhabitants of Syrak: greetings to you from your Lord, King May'ji. As I am sure that you all know, it is not of the King's pleasure to disturb you; however, this particular instance could not be avoided. The time has come when we must identify men of able-bodies to join us as we prepare for war. Our gates have suffered breeches and the enemy has been seen scouting to identify our weaknesses. The King offers for explanation that such prosperity and peace as we have seen creates an environment that is conducive to such acts. Further, he offers to you that there is a season for everything; heretofore, we have been blessed by the Great One with wealth.
